Mary’s Barbecue Sauce

Ingredients
1 large onion
2 cloves garlic
1 cup ketchup
1 cup tomato sauce
⅓ cup Dijon mustard
½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup honey
¼ cup cider vinegar
¼ cup Worcestershire
Garlic salt
Pepper
Directions
Sauté onion in a large skillet until translucent. Add in all other ingredients, stir until bubbly. Simmer till thickens, about 15–20 minutes.
Grill meat until cooked, place on grill and baste with ample barbecue sauce. As you turn the meat, add more sauce. Continue turning and adding sauce repeatedly until it’s browned.
Don’t add the sauce till it’s cooked because the sugars in it will get sticky and burn easily.
Cook meat thoroughly THEN add sauce. Otherwise, the sugar in the sauce will burn.
