Caramelized Pecans

Ingredients

  • 1 lb pecans

  • ½ c butter

  • ½ cup orange juice

  • ¼ tsp mace

  • ¼ to ½ tsp cayenne pepper

  • 1 ½ tsp cinnamon

  • ⅓ cup sugar

  • 1 ½ tsp salt

Directions

Preheat oven to 350˚ F.

Melt butter in 9x13” baking pan. Add all ingredients and mix well. Toss in pecans until coated.

Cook in oven, stirring every 5 minutes.

Watch closely so they don’t burn (they can quickly). Remove from oven when caramel-y.

Set out to dry on wax paper to cool. Store in an air-tight container.
