Honey Chicken
Recipe from Brett & Jocelyn (Brecken)
Ingredients
1/3 cups flour
1 tsp garlic salt
Dashes of black pepper
3–4 chicken breasts, either whole breasts or chopped
2 Tbs butter
For serving: rice
Sauce
2 Tbs butter
1/4 cup honey
3 Tbs lemon juice
2 Tbs soy sauce
Dashes of ground ginger
Directions
Mix flour, garlic salt and pepper in a ziplock bag. Shake chopped or whole chicken in bag to coat. In a 9x13” pan, melt butter. Add chicken to pan and cook at 350˚ for 30 minutes.
Make sauce while it’s cooking. Remove from oven, stir and cover with honey mixture. Cook additional 30 minutes.
Place all ingredients in a saucepan and cook until warm.
Brett suggests chop the chicken breasts so they are able to be better coated by the sauce. Also, double the sauce recipe and keep half on side to top on chicken and rice when you’re ready to eat.
