Chicken Rolls

Ingredients

  • 6 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cooked, deboned and shredded

  • 2/3 cup canned mushrooms, drained

  • 8 ounces cream cheese

  • 1/3 tsp pepper

  • 4 Tbs butter (or egg whites)

  • 2 package crescent rolls

  • Bread crumbs

  • Sage (opt)

  • 1 cup chicken broth

  • 1 (10 3/4 oz) can cream of chicken soup

Directions

Preheat oven to 350˚.

Mix cream cheese, butter and pepper. Fold in chicken and mushrooms. Separate and flatten rolls. Spoon mixture in the middle of rolls and fold into balls.Melt butter and cover roll with it, then roll in bread crumbs (add sage with bread crumbs if you like). 

Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350˚ for 20 minutes.

Strain broth and add chicken soup, cook to thicken to make gravy. Pour gravy on rolls and serve.
