Fish Tacos

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs

  • 4 fillets (1 ½ lb) fresh or frozen (thawed) tilapia, grouper, halibut, or cod

  • 1 cup flour

  • 1 Tbs cumin

  • 1 Tbs chili powder

  • 1 Tbs paprika

  • Salt & pepper

  • Corn or flour tortillas

For spicy fish: add a few dashes cayenne pepper

Serve with warmed tortillas, cheese, sour cream, shredded cabbage or lettuce, limes, salsa, cilantro, and avocados.

Directions

Scramble eggs and set in a dish, mix all other ingredients in another dish. Cut fish into 1” thick strips and set by egg bowl.

Preheat pan with oil on medium-high heat.

Soak fish in eggs, dredge in flour mixture until all are fish strips are coated.

Lower heat to medium and place fish in pan. Let cook for a few minutes until that side is browned. 

Flip over each individual strip and watch. Continue flipping fish until browned on all sides. Takes about 10-15 mins.
