Apple Crisp

Ingredients

  • 8 to 10 cups (6 to 8 large apples) sliced apples - Jonagold OR Rome Beauty for sweet, Granny Smith for tart

  • 1 pint blueberries (opt)

  • 2 Tbs lemon juice

  • 1 1/2 Tbs brown sugar

  • 2 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg

For serving: Vanilla bean ice cream or whipping cream

Topping

Make 1 1/2 times this!

  • 1 1/2 cups oatmeal

  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar

  • 1 cup flour

  • 2/3 cup butter, melted

  • 1/2 tsp soda

  • 2 dashes salt

Directions

Slice apples thinly and toss with lemon juice. Mix brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg and toss with apples and blueberries. Place apples in a greased 9x13” pan. 

Mix topping together, crumble and sprinkle on top of apples.

Bake at 350˚ for 35–40 minutes. Serve warm with cold whip cream or ice cream.
