Chicken Divan

Recipe from Pat Jacobsen

Ingredients

  • 6 chicken breasts, boiled and cut into pieces

  • 1 bunch broccoli, cooked and cut into trees

  • 1 onion, sliced

  • 2 stalks celery, sliced

  • 2 (10 3/4 oz) cans cream of chicken soup

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise OR Miracle Whip

  • 1 1/2 Tbs lemon juice

  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese

  • 3 slices bread, broken into small pieces

  • Butter

Directions

Arrange broccoli in 9x13” pan. Mix soup, milk, Miracle Whip, lemon juice and 3/4 cup cheese. Add chicken to soup mixture. Spread on top of broccoli. 

Melt butter in a pan, once melted, add bread pieces. Toss and cook until browned. Sprinkle on top of casserole. Bake at 350˚ for 30 minutes.

It goes great with Winder Dairy fruit punch. If we’re out, Brett will borrow some from the Jacobsen’s.
