Tomato Sausage Cream Penne

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbs olive oil

  • 1 medium onion, chopped

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 lb sweet Italian sausage, casings removed

  • 1 cup cream

  • 2 (14 ½ oz) cans Italian seasoned diced tomatoes

  • 1 lb penne pasta

Directions

Cook pasta as directed.

Heat oil in large pot over medium-high heat. Add onion  and garlic, sauté until it begins to soften, about 3 minutes.

Add sausage, sauté until well cooked, about 5 minutes. Lower heat, add cream and simmer 5 minutes. Add tomatoes and simmer 15 more minutes.

Toss with penne until evenly coated.
