Rice Pudding

Recipe from Aunt Evelyn

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup uncooked white rice

  • 1 quart milk

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp grated lemon peel

  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg

  • 1/2 cup seedless black raisins

Directions

Preheat oven at 300˚ F.

Combine rice, milk, sugar and salt, pour into buttered 1 1/2 quart baking dish.

Bake in oven for 1 hour, stir occasionally. Add lemon peel, nutmeg and raisins, continue baking 1 1/2–1 3/4 hours.
