Beef Broccoli Stirfry

Ingredients

  • 1-2 pounds flank steak, sliced against the grain

  • 4 cups broccoli, chopped

  • Dash peanut oil

  • 1 Tbs of chiles, seeded, deviened and minced. Use jalapeño, red cayenne, Serrano, and/or habanero (opt)

For serving: sticky rice, udon noodles (thick Japanese) or soba noodles (buckwheat)

Marinade 

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • 1 Tbs ginger root, grated

  • 1 Tbs corn starch

  • ¼ c soy sauce

  • ¼ c water

Mix corn garlic, ginger, starch, soy and water together. Mrinate steak for up to 48 hrs. 

Gravy

  • ½ cup water

  • 1 Tbs corn starch

  • 1 Tbs soy sauce

  • 2 Tbs oyster sauce

Mix and set aside.

Directions

In a large pan, heat oil, then stir fry meat. Remove from pan and put aside.

Add broccoli to the pan for 1 minute and stir. Add 1 Tbs water, cover pan and steam till tender.

Add gravy, stir and cook. Add meat, stir, serve immediately. Serve over rice or noodles.
