Kale Chips

Recipe from Kiki

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch leaf kale, any kind

  • 1 Tbs olive oil

  • ½ tsp sea salt, onion salt, or garlic salt

Directions

Preheat the oven to 325° F.

Line a large baking sheet (or two) with parchment paper or foil.

Using a knife or kitchen shears, carefully remove the ribs from the kale and cut into bite sized pieces. Wash and thoroughly dry kale with a salad spinner or paper towels.

Place in a large bowl and toss with the olive oil and salt of choice. Massage oil and salt into each leaf.

Lay kale on a baking sheet. Give them room or they’ll just steam instead of crisping.

Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes or until crisp, turning the leaves halfway through.

Serve.

Note

Dry kale throughly and don’t use too much oil! Both will compromise crispiness.

Depending on how large your kale bunch is, you can start with a tablespoon of oil (just use enough to barely coat the leaves).
